Second Life Fashion Models The Modavia Supermodels

When I signed on this morning, I wasn’t expecting to find a clothing store to blog about. That’s mostly because I wasn’t actually looking for clothes today. Yea I know, pick your jaws up off the floor. While cruising around LicoLico searching for model poses I came across a really cute store. Kiki’s Closet. LicoLico is a shopping sim specializing in this, often self-described, japanese gothic look. Mostly the cutesy kind… very lolita, Victorian goth. My favoritiest thing about Kikis was that it was great quality clothes for really, really in expensive. I got 4 outfits and spent about 150L and a freebie belt that was really cute. Check it out, if only for the cool freebie kimono.

Here is an awesome tartan skirt that comes in 3 colors and runs about 100L each and can be worn in 3 fabulous ways.

The wonderfully “Fur and Pink” dress that drew me to Kikis; you gotta love fur and things that are pink. And it only cost 120L.

Last, but not least what I like to call my anime dress, because of it’s similarities to an outfit of a character worn on a favorite tv show. “50L for first 50 people” get it fast.

A big party happend yesterday at KaDeWe runway, with music alived played by Shantu Selene.

To celebrate the models of the agency, lots of fun and champagne. If you couldnt make it there here are some photos of the event. Hope we can have more times like that, it was great and fun!

That is a new verb at my english vocabulary. I am so excited with the jobs i am doing for blogs lately!! First one is here at MODAVIA, I love to tell here what i am doing. I starting to blog for SecondMirage and my first article was about of course MODA and the other blog will be for dejavú international but for latins, I will write in portuguese!
Other then that i am waiting for another show soon and of course MODAVIA will be first to know!

If you’ve been living under a rock with your fingers stuck in your ears singing loudly at the top of your voice you’ve missed the opening of the new store that’s got all the bloggers buzzing! At Glam World the opening of the long-awaited store, Cachet, featuring the new clothing line from Thora Charron and Minnu Palen. I’ve heard about this new store for about a week and let me assure it you it’s been worth the wait and worth the hype. The seemingly limitlessly creative duo has turned out a fashion that’s dazzling, creating, and pretty one of a kind. Of course you know I automatically fell in love. Their store doesn’t have tons of colors in every style and the pieces are designed to mix and match allowing you infinite possibilities on how to put together these already unique pieces on your own. Below I’ve recruited some of my friends to help me show off these pieces. Kurvy Rhode and Liane Maertens are wearing Ford (Ice) which undoubtedly one of the more popular outfits from the line. It also comes with a fetching necklace as well which was a nice touch.

Kurvy Rhode was also kind enough to model Marlene for me as well. Check it out below you gotta love plunging necklines. You know it’s just sexy enough when you’re showing belly button. This outfit says “BAM!”

Willamina Fitzgerald was kind enough to let me drag her away kicking and screaming from Cachet to take a couple shots of her in Victoria (Purple) and in one of my personal and another widely popular outfit Spider.

I thought I’d spare you all more huge photos of me, I think once a day is more than enough. So I took so snapshot of my other favorite their more couture styles.

Wow!!  Wow!!  Wow!!  Is about all I can say about this guy.  I have had the honor of helping Caleb Rickena with his styling and profiling…and I must say this one is a winner!!  Caleb wanted to be tough and tender.  We worked to keep his masculinity and provide the world with a pretty face.  I must say…SL model agencies are impressed!  Not only is he making his way up in Modavia…currently a Modavia model, but he is also a FACES model and is auditioning for a slot in MAD agency.  Caleb says he never thought he would be a model, but it is working out as a pretty fun deal.  I know we will see more of this handsome guy.  Woot!!

Hey all!

This has been a very busy week for me so I haven’t had as much time as I would have liked to update. So very sorry! I’ve been running around sims trying to find a location for a photoshoot and trying to find clothes for that photo shoot and a couple of others. Add that to the normal spending time with friends, going to see runway shows, talking to designers; my time for regular shopping has been limited. So after scrambling my brain trying to figure out what I would write about, I simply decided to mention my favorite store that I used for my most recent shoot. Why did I even have to consider writing about this store? Well my blog is written with the intention of giving stores an equal amount of good PR without the decision to do so being based on a certain acceptance or popularity, but it being based on quality. My dilemma was that even though that’s my initial idea, I was always more biased towards stores that, generally, aren’t well-known even though it’s pretty hypocritical. So, I decided to simply base my blog on stores on how much I enjoy shopping at a particular store, and/or whether I feel the store’s quality is worth mention.

Enter: Digit Darkes

Digit Darkes has been my undisputed *love* lately. In the past week, I have literally spent a few thousand lindens in there. Their clothes are glam rock with a mix of punk rock with a touch of regular, good old class thrown in; all of which equals ABSOLUTE perfection. DD has it all: sequins, strips, ruffles, lace, leather, feathers, spiked heels, gloves, and stockings galore. Now, my absolutely favorite thing about DD is its “mix and match””- iscity. Digit really gives the shopper the opportunity to create their own unique look without having to buy a bunch of additional items of clothing they may or may not want. With what I call her “wall of style” which is mostly a RL store setup of shirts, skirts, pants, stockings, etc laid out individually and she also offers for those who have a hard time or are short on time a few mannequins with very hip outfits. Of course, I’m a bit partial to the store in which I found my rapidly becoming trademark Mohawk that I have yet to do a photoshoot without but don’t just take my word for it. Check it out! I promise no matter what your style from casual to high-fashion, conservative to goth you can find it at DD.

Now I’m not gonna bash any stores here (not yet anyway) so I wont mention names, but I bought this little number below expecting it to be cute, casual, and quality considering how expensive it was and let’s just say it was not the stuff shopping dreams are made of. And I’m beyond irritated because I spent a decent portion of my budget on it! Bad Prims, newbie like textures, good designs but poorly executed. It’s close but not quite at the level I would expect for a 500L outfit. Let me know what you think of it..

The growing business of Shape Territory seeks a new female model!!!!  And I am the Model Manager!!  Wooot!!!

One more fashion show, this time at Italy. These people realy have talent to make clothes, great designers and a nice sim with warm and friendly people. I dressed Thera Taurog and Mimi’s choice, male models dressed Sartoria clothes.
And nothing better to relax then listen to piano live songs and dressing a gorgeous dress made by Sissy Pessoa, and a beutifull necklace from JCNY, one of my prizes for win the 5th place at January contest.

I have officially opened my styling business!!!  Yeh!!!  I have been doing this for several months, but did not feel ready to go for it!  So…I am venturing out in a new direction.  For my business, WACK, Inc…..I make some clothes, shapes, and hair; but I love helping other people make beautiful avatars.  As I get a client and help them…I thought I would post their finished product in my blog!!  So I hope you like what you see and if you know of anyone that needs a makeover….send them my way!!  :) 

 Myfirst “official” client was Sereana.  Sereana is an aspiring model and is currently in classes at KSG University.  Sereana wanted a unique, sexy, “I mean business” look.  She loves black and red…so we wanted to work on these colors with her style.  She is a hard worker and is eager to to be successful in this tough modeling world.  I wish Sereana the best as she continues to work on her future hot modeling career!  Thanks Sereana for being the first “official” WACK, Inc. client.  Woooot!! client-sereana.jpg
