<3C! CupCakes

Posted on June 4th, 2008 in Keely LeFavre, Modavia Supermodels by Keely LeFavre

Since, I’ve been busy organizing shows and learning new graphics programs my shopping has really been slipping lately. What better way to get back into the groove of things by posting about a sale at one of my favorite dress stores “<3C! CupCakes” This is a fantastic sale/mini hunt at the main store in popfuzz. I’m not sure how long the sale has been going on or when it will end; I learned about it very randomly. But woot! What a sale. In the whole store there were only about 3 items that were more than 100L everything else ranged between 25-75L. And there are many hidden freebies mixed with the sale items (that’s the mini-hunt part). Here’s a collage of some of the cute dresses I found.

Costa Rica - Freebies

Posted on March 16th, 2008 in Modavia Supermodels by Keely LeFavre

If you missed the launch party Costa Rica Shopping District, you missed a collective mix of models and designers, artists and art lovers. It was a blast.   But if you couldn’t make it to the launch party, don’t fret! It’s not too late to visit the art festival featuring truly amazing original art work from some ultra-talented SL artists.   And a tip, if you’re a model you should try to get some of these artists to do your portfolios, adding that extra artistic touch is a great way to get noticed. And bonus, you get beautiful artwork to hang around your house.
So, you say art is not your thing.  How about some awesome freebies then?  To celebrate the launch of the new Costa Rica shopping district some of my favorite designers have placed some gifts in their stores.  Here are some pics of the outfits.

kikis closet

Posted on February 28th, 2008 in Modavia Supermodels by Keely LeFavre

When I signed on this morning, I wasn’t expecting to find a clothing store to blog about. That’s mostly because I wasn’t actually looking for clothes today. Yea I know, pick your jaws up off the floor. While cruising around LicoLico searching for model poses I came across a really cute store. Kiki’s Closet. LicoLico is a shopping sim specializing in this, often self-described, japanese gothic look. Mostly the cutesy kind… very lolita, Victorian goth. My favoritiest thing about Kikis was that it was great quality clothes for really, really in expensive. I got 4 outfits and spent about 150L and a freebie belt that was really cute. Check it out, if only for the cool freebie kimono.

Here is an awesome tartan skirt that comes in 3 colors and runs about 100L each and can be worn in 3 fabulous ways.

The wonderfully “Fur and Pink” dress that drew me to Kikis; you gotta love fur and things that are pink. And it only cost 120L.

Last, but not least what I like to call my anime dress, because of it’s similarities to an outfit of a character worn on a favorite tv show. “50L for first 50 people” get it fast.

Happy shopping… let me know what you think and if you find anything good…

LeZoo

Posted on February 10th, 2008 in Modavia Supermodels by Keely LeFavre

Hey World

No, I didn’t forget about my LM and review for the day; it just took me much longer than I initially thought it would. This is largely because I decided to review a strip mall instead of a single store. So, I will actually be talking about 3 stores today, instead of just one. I wanted this post to be special and I hope you think it is! Now, also add that wordpress and I have been having “issues” for the past few hours. Grrrr. But lets move to to the important stuff.

Friday, I found myself LeZoo - Shops and Entertainment. I went there to visit “Torridwear Animations” for the first time and realized the store was located in a strip mall. Lately, I’ve been frequenting strip malls because it’s a fast way to visit a lot of stores at one time without having to search and wait for places to rez. Here’s some info about LeZoo: the mall contains about 25 stores, ballroom with a runway, a small zoo with animals (for atmosphere), and a cave which I never found. What I liked most about LeZoo; is that despite it’s many amenities, the look and feel was very clean and organized. The layout of the mall was very intuitive so I never got lost; which is rare because my sense of direction is horrible. LeZoo hosts some pretty big name stores: Muse, Marly’s, Opium, Argyle Boutique, and Calla but the ones I found most interesting where Philotic Energy (PE), Rfyre, Tuli and Icing.

I’ll start with Rfyre. Rfyre consists of extremely chic gothic style clothes and accessories. The clothes and accessories are impressively designed with amazing detail. The styles are really quite gorgeous. If that’s your style I honestly recommend checking them out. The only *con* I found was that the clothes were kind of pricey, but they weren’t so outrageous that I couldn’t see paying it. Another pro: they have men’s styles too.

Philotic Energy (PE) has hair styles that are really cute and very well made. But when I say cute I mean in punky mall girl cute. Which - even though it’s not really my style- I can appreciate the uniqueness in the looks. And it piqued my interest enough to go and check out their main store. Check it out below.

Tuli had to be my favorite store at LeZoo. Very versatile styles that range from punk to retro to your standard (what I call) “mall “look, extremely well made and well priced. Even more important than that is the clothing comes in layers. Why is that good?? Mixing and Matching! And Mix and Matching is the key to uniqueness. Tuli also offers skins (no dark skins though *frowns), animations, jewelry, and there are two cute freebies at the door. Check out some of the styles below.

Last but certainly not least: Icing. Icing,I found, had very visually intriguing designs. Icing excels in offering retro styles that range across decades and I’m pretty partial to retro styles. But they keep it interesting by adding some modern touches that really makes the dresses pop. I like this store largely because the dresses have such a timeless look to them and all I could imagine was being on a date in a fancy restaurant and wearing one of these lovely pieces. Check it out below.

So in summary: check out LeZoo it has great shops, good prices, nice atmosphere.
