Muism Skinny Biker jacket

OK, I went to Muism on a whim, and saw this jacket there, and immediately my mind started racing. I have the perfect colour shoes for that!! So anyway, I decided why not and bought it and threw it on. As always with the great jackets from Muism it came in 4 sizes (S,M,L,XL) and after playing around with a few in the past I decided M was the fit for me.

First off the shoes were already in my head, so a quick search through my Jeepers Creepers folder and I found these, the Rebel shoes in Roman Polanski. Next I had to pick some pants and things to go with it, so I decided on black pants and top as we all know black goes with everything. For this I chose Redgrave Pants (Black with Belt) as they even had a fancy Gold Prim belt buckle, and the black shirt from my Casa Del Shai Amorsolo suit (probably my favorite shirt on SL). I also thought my Kalnins Breeze sunglasses would flow with the whole black and gold appearance of the rest of the outfit so I threw them on.

But anyway, I was mightily impressed at how the jacket comes in a long sleeve and rolled up sleeve version and the detail is as we expect from Muism - that is highly detailed and intricate primwork that fits perfectly. Anyway, check out these pics I decided to take in the Steady Rock Island sim that perfectly accompany the clothes.

Mushashi - DO

I was lucky enough to receive outfits from Shiryu Musashi from Mushashi - Do designs who has just reopened his store in the Anton sim(Musashi - Do mainstore). The first of these I opened was simply known as ‘Jetblack’ and it was a indian style number that I put on and was amazed at how it perfectly matched my Jeepers Creepers Shanghai’s I was wearing. For some reason this outfit I really loved the way it was shaded, and it clings to your shape like glue. I loved the soft texturing of it, it wasn’t too overstated and it was a really great outfit for something so simple.

Other things I loved about this outfit was that it looked as good without the jacket as it does with. This is in part due to the detailed belt that is a part of the pants texture, which is handy as it didn’t require me to edit a prim to fit my slim av frame. Over I dug this outfit and the whoel relaxed vibe it gave off.

Shoes - Shanghai from Jeepers Creepers

The next outfit was the Highland wind outfit and its booster pack. They are essentially an outfit that wouldn’t be out of place in teh Scottish Highlands, in that it is a kilt with jacket and shirt. When I first unbagged these, I almost had a heart attack as my inventory had some huge gains due to the massive amount of pieces and variety that were contained within. In the initial pack there was over 30 pieces! Admittedly they aren’t all different, but rather colour variations. What was interesting about these was that the prim belt comes with an instruction notecard informing you that you are able to change the colour of the plate and gemstones contained within it! That made the outfit much more unique as it allows the owner to edit the colour of the belt to their own taste. I had no idea where to start really so I picked the McLeod (obviously I have seen Highlander as a kid) colour and went from there.

I then went thru the other variations and chose a few other to feature including the Wallace (a Braveheart reference?) - Part of the expansion pack
Highland Wind - Wallace
and the MacDonald

Anyhow all I can say is the texturing detail on these outfits is amazing and the sheer variety is overwhelming. So if you girls ever want to know what is under a man’s kilt, you have to wait until you see someone in SL wearing this and be sure to cam and check ;-P. Anyway at least I know what I will be wearing to fellow ASpiRE! model Georgette Whitfield’s party this year.

Shoes - Jeepers Creepers Quixote (in red and black)

The last outfit in this ensemble is the suit known as the Glorious F. This suit is great and comes with 3 colour variations, black, black-pinstriped and brown. Also there is 3 different ways in which it can be worn- Full suit, Shirt, or turtle neck sweater with prim neck piece. I loved this suit (as most of you know I am an SL suit whore) and the variety was very welcome, as most times you only get a simple suit that doesn’t allow you to mix and match that much. This one however does. Here are some examples:

So overall the diverse range of looks that are feasible with this suit is awesome. There is also a notecard that tells people that this suit is compatible with all Musashi-DO ties and gives a nice little guide to teaching those of you who may not know how to fit these prims properly. It is attention to detail that to me make this jump out and differentiate it from the crowd. Again the shading and fit with this suit is great and really shows off your avs shape nicely. I would highly recommend this suit to anyone who is looking for something different to add to their inventory.

Playing around with outfits…….

Posted on March 20th, 2008 in Jonny Tobias, Modavia Supermodels by Jonny Tobias

OK, so I was bored on here and decided to get my ass into gear and post something productive. So where on earth do I start? I mean, this was a dilema easily fixed, just do the simple thing and blog about one of your favorite things - clothes!!

Then I stumble across another drama, which clothes do I start with?? I mean, my inventory seems to grow by the day, and there is much to choose from. Then I had the epiphany of deciding to do a ‘Rockstar’ themed shoot! So in the wake of this I decided to cobble together an outfit and see what the results were. Anyway, here is some music to accompany this blog if you so desire to click the link (and yes it is easy to listen to for all you ladies reading!! ;-P) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpssSxiZVPY

I started with the Muism Black Spring Fur/Leather Coat and the other pieces such as the furs and armband that come with it. As an RL guitar player, I think gloves and massive Wristbands are too extreme to play with so I went a little more subdued with GG spiked leather wrist belts by Jenny Thielt’s Glowing Gems Designs at TKF Designs.
rock-jeans
Next off I needed some rockish jeans, so harking back to the days when actual musicians were in music videos, I decided upon the Redgrave Used look jeans. These jeans are awesome, I can’t get wear them enough, as they look so real as does pretty much everything else I own from Redgrave. I coupled these jeans with the awesome Oslo boots in grey from Jeepers Creepers (my favorite shoe in SL is the Oslo and you all should own the pack!!!) as they just look so damn sweet and matched up well with the prop I decided to use - an Ibanez UV777 guitar I found along my travels in SL when I was still very young (I cant find the maker though a properties search, but seek and ye shall find ;-)) It has 9 separate animations a few of which can be seen in these pics.
rock-relaxed
To top it off I am wearing the new Savvy Avvy comet shades in Midnight tint, as well as hair from Moderno (Jack in Truffle). Skin is Abyss Scorpio RA1 with body hair. To take these shots I went to one of my favorite places in SL, The Bushy Beard Pub in Brugge as they have many great performers there and the most amazingly funny people. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Brugge/128/175/24
