Dea was kind enough to post the “official” post-show write-up on our first show at Bellagio SecondLife but I wanted to take a moment and that the lovely Kurvy Rhodes for the great photos that she took. She stepped in and helped us out when the lovely Chris unfortunately had RL work get in the way! Thank you again Kurvy!

Alix and Pat from Bellagio Second Life were fabulous to work with as well! These two are not afraid to jump in and help get things done! I love that about them!!

Of course all the designs were absolutely fantastic! The designers were very generous with gifts and amazing to work with. I fell in love with all of them! Dea already posted a few of my favorite pictures but here are a few more for your viewing pleasure

   With the recent trend in posting about photographers, it’s such a fluke that I met a new photographer this week that’s just amazing.  When I say new, I mostly mean new to me since he’s in SL since 2006 and has shot over 175 models so far.  Here’s my little story on how we met: On Wednesday, I met up with our very own DJ Azu at a housewarming party for Sabein Streeter in Costa Rica.  The house was GORGEOUS and the music had me dancing around the room.  Towards the end of the party I ran into Greg Paslong after chatting for a bit we began talking about his photography and he kindly offered to shot me.  Since I’m a complete camera-whore and relish any opportunity to have photos taken of myself I instantly agreed.               

   Upon entering Greg’s studio, I saw a lot of his previous work I was instantly impressed and extremely shocked I hadn’t heard of his work before.  Before he began shooting, we talked for a while about his recent projects and his inspirations.  He conveyed his desire to show models in what he said was their “complete unedited beauty”. In other words, he does not photoshop or edit photos often even so the results are STUNNING. The composition, the angels, the lighting all wonderfully thought out.  You get a strong sense of how seriously he takes his work and how passionate he is about it.  Such talent and commitment is actually fairly rare to find in SL.  So when it’s found, you can either keep it a secret or share the wealth.  Here is a small collection of the pictures we took:

Looking through everyone’s posts, I wondered to myself…what could I do that would be a bit different, but still represent the modeling and/or fashion industry?  I decided to focus on a photographer this week.  I looked through my vast selection of pictures and decided to focus on a photographer whom we all know and love, Miss Christieanna Daviau.  I love her style in the following pictures.  She is a true artist and takes pride in her pictures.  She had not planned on becoming such a well-known photographer, but thanks to word of mouth (Harmonica!  I do believe), she has become quite popular.  I don’t know how she gets it all done, with her Elements photography business and her wonderful head for business…which lucky for us, she is using to benefit Modavia.  Thanks Chris for all you do…”squeak”!  Hugs, Wynter
