Casuals from Wynter Kidd

Okay it is a rainy day in real life so I feel like being casual and comfy in SL.  I love this look!  These shoes are so cute, I have like every color they come in.  The pants are from the wonderful Forda Fairlane.  They are part of a new outfit called Bayla, but I just mix and matched the shirt with a cute sweater from Callie Cline.  This sweater comes in several lengths.  I opted this time for the medium cut..it is my favorite.  I love these kinda of days where I can just dress down, but still look stylish.  I hope you like the look!  Hugs, Wynter

Shirt:  Forever Sweater Med (Cranberry) by Callie Cline

Pants:  Bayla Pants from Haute Style and Co.

Shoes:  Tomboy sneakies in black unlaced

Hair:  Ember-Black Brown from Deviant Kitties

Modavia’s Knockout Fashion Show at Bellagio make Front Page of SL Herald!

If you haven’t seen it yet click on over to the SL Herald where Modavia’s Knockout Fashion Show at the Bellagio has made front page news!

When you read this article please keep in mind what the SL Herald is known for. This is a quote taken from their website “the Herald is often called a muckraking tabloid or worse, but its loyal readers (numbering several thousand per day) love — and often love to hate — the unique service it provides: to take a good, close, often snarky look at the online worlds that are becoming a more and more important part of everyone’s offline lives.”

My favorite knock-outs

Posted on June 5th, 2008 in Modavia Supermodels by Belle Lefavre

Dea was kind enough to post the “official” post-show write-up on our first show at Bellagio SecondLife but I wanted to take a moment and that the lovely Kurvy Rhodes for the great photos that she took. She stepped in and helped us out when the lovely Chris unfortunately had RL work get in the way! Thank you again Kurvy!

Alix and Pat from Bellagio Second Life were fabulous to work with as well! These two are not afraid to jump in and help get things done! I love that about them!!

Of course all the designs were absolutely fantastic! The designers were very generous with gifts and amazing to work with. I fell in love with all of them! Dea already posted a few of my favorite pictures but here are a few more for your viewing pleasure

On June 1st, 2008, Ms. Alix Abruzzo, Bellagio Second Life owner, and Ms. Pat Hartano, Bellagio Fashions Director, welcomed Modavia to present for Bellagio, “Knockout Fashion” a high-energy fashion show featuring the work of esteemed Second Life fashion designers:  Edo Tone of Styles of Edo, Thera Taurog of Lady Thera, Myllie Writer of Persona, Rachel Darling of Milady’s Fancy, Luriel Jewell of Liberte, Gabrielle Gatreaux of Chez Gabrielle, and Soraya Blachere of Serene Sensations.

“Modavia is pleased and grateful to have the opportunity to work with the professional people from such an internationally acclaimed brand like Bellagio.” said Modavia CEO, Dea Mills.

Directed by legendary Senior Producer for Modavia, Fortunate Szondi, the show played to a packed house of 80 at the Bellagio’s Caramel club and delivered driving rock music set to a rugged boxing theme to emphasize the title, Knockout Fashion. In a life-size boxing ring where a duo of boxing supermodels slugged it out, supermodels entered, posed, and then completed their walk upon the Caramel dance floor.

“Vibrant…innovative…” were words used by designer Thera Taurog to describe the event.

Nine Members of The Modavia Supermodels team either walked the fashion or acted as actual boxers for the show.  The models are some of the best known and accomplished award-winning names in Second Life fashion and included: Anessa Stine, Cherie Parker, Caleb Rickena, Gamp Lane, Mui Mukerji, Payton Heron, Poptart Lilliehook, Sally Yachvili, and Wynter Kidd.

Modavia Fashion Brief Released to the Top Fashion Designers in Secondlife

Posted on May 1st, 2008 in Modavia Supermodels by Jonny Tobias

NEWS RELEASE - April 30th 2008
For Immediate Release

CONTACT: Jonny Tobias

SUMMARY: The Modavia designers brief is released for Secondlife’s Top 50 high fashion designers to view.

The immediate release of the Modavia fashion designers brief is designed to give the top fashion designers of Secondlife an insight into the forthcoming Modavia Fashion Directory. The brief is used to showcase exactly how the Directory is destined to become the bible on Secondlife fashion. A panel of Modavia staff members conferred with each other and formed a list of the top 50 Haute Couture designers in Secondlife and then invitations were sent out to each designer to invite them to take part in this historic First edition of the Directory.

“I love the fashion industry and I particularly care about the success and well-being of fashion models and designers” said Modavia CEO, Dea Mills.

This statement is the embodiment of the aim of the Directory, a showcase for the top deisgners and models within Secondlife to be featured in a quality publication. Once the initial Directory is released, subsequent editions featuring the latest designs from the top designers in Secondlife will be featured and each edition will feature the Modavia Supermodels wearing these latest releases featuring in the consistently classy, stylistic format as presented in the initial Designers brief. Each ad is carefully constructed specifically with the designers creations foremost in mind. The Modavia Supermodels themselves are featured in the brief allowing the deisgners to become aquainted with the models who will be wearing and displaying their product inside the Directory itself.

An opening launch party for the first brief is currently in the works and will be an event to remember. The Modavia name will soon be one of the most important advertising tools for Fashion in the Secondlife Universe. The Modavia entity is synonymous with quality, and only the very ‘Best of the best’ in Secondlife Fashion will be featured. The simple, photo-rich, and less-on-text, uniform layout of the Directory allows the fashions to really jump out at the reader. Thus, the Directory will help your designs stand out in the crowd. The design and layout will be constructed by the team at Element design to a stringent standard of ensuring the highest quality.

Also there is the newly unveiled Modavia website which is where designers can access the designers brief at http://GetModavia.com to work in conjunction with the Modavia Supermodels blogging page at http://i.GetModavia.com
